Kids In Worship
A nursery is provided downstairs for children ages 5 and under.  All children are always welcome in worship.  Ask our ushers about age appropriate worship bags for kids!  We believe it is important for children to begin experiencing worship at a young age and while they may not be able to give their attention to the entire service, they will enjoy participating as they begin to learn the parts of worship we do on a regular basis.

Rev. Dr. Jennifer Rike
It is with great pleasure that we welcome Rev. Dr. Jennifer Rike, who will be leading us in Worship this Sunday. It is an honor and a privilege to have her with us. (Click here for Rev. Dr. Rike's bio.)

Presbyterian CrossOur 2020 Per Capita Payment Is Due February 15
Our per capita apportionment of $2,262.00 is due to the presbytery by February 15. This payment, which is more than the average amount we collect for a Sunday offering, comes right after we have just paid our annual building and worker 's compensation insurance bills. This creates a major cash flow issue for your treasurer. If you would contribute your portion of the per capita payment ($29.00 per member), it would help a lot. We know that not everyone is able to do this but are hoping that if we each give what we can, we will able to cover a decent portion of the bill.

Presbyterian CrossOur next step in finding a new pastor ...
The next step we have in finding a new pastor is to find a transitional pastor, and a search team (referred to as "The Transitional Minister Search Team," or TMST) has been formed for this task. The transitional pastor will do all the things a regular pastor does, plus assist us in the steps we need to take to find a new pastor. Keep watching here for updates.

Sunday SchoolGathering Place for Kids Children's Sunday School -- 11:00 a.m. (Meet in the Sanctuary)
Theme: Growing In Grace & Gratitude!

The kids will begin each Sunday in Worship. Following the Children's Message kids will join their teachers to journey to The Gathering Place until 12:00 pm.

We will be learning about grace & gratitude this year. Children nurturedin the love and grace of God learn a new story of who and whose they are by watching, listening, tasting, smelling, playing and exploring holy things in the context of a faith community.

2019 Adult Sunday SchoolAdult Sunday School Class -- 9:30 a.m.
We will continue studying “Jesus and His Jewish Influences.” The course, led by Barb Brown, uses DVDs by distinguished archaeologist Dr. Jodi Magness that will help you understand Jesus’ life and teachings within the context of early Judaism. Using passages from the Old Testament, the course sheds light on the Jewish background of Jesus while the New Testament portrays Jesus’ teachings and sayings and what they meant to Him and His first followers. All adults and high school students are welcome to be part of this class and join the discussions. (Small treat provided; bring your own water or coffee.)

Bible studyPresbyterian Women's and Presbyterian Men’s Wednesday Evening Bible Studies -- 7:00 p.m.

Missions

Prayers For Our Missionary Families
The Holly Presbyterian Church supports two missionary families as part of our ongoing outreach to the world: the Keefer family (serving Christ through their Athletes in Action ministry at U of M in Ann Arbor, Michigan) and the Iobst family (serving Christ through the Operation Transit ministry in Algeciras, Spain).  We are called to act as the hands and feet of Christ in our world, and because we cannot all serve in full time ministry, we offer our support financially, and spiritually, to those who do. Please pray for these families and consider sending them a note or e-mail of encouragement.
